Absence & Prayers

Sorry for the delay on posting here. Last Thursday we received word Papa's entire division is being eliminated. 30 days notice. Papa has worked for the same company for over 8 years. We have great benefits and an adoption reimbursement after Jet is finalized. He isn't to be finalized till December.

Rocked our world, even though we know the economy is in trouble. Praying hard it doesn't rock our adoption too much. We will be contacting our agency tomorrow.

We are praying another area of the company will be able to offer him a place. If you could join us in that pray we would appreciate it.

Will post again later tonight about adoption.

Praying for your husband's job. I really enjoy reading your posts. I take all the advice I can get regarding older child adoptions and bonding...bonding, especially!

Oh my gosh... we are twins.... my husband's entire company was shut down last week... we're still in shock especially after head hunters started calling telling us there wasn't much in our town for him...

I'll say an extra prayer for your family (I say them for you anyway).

Rough one! But if it's any consolation, my husband got laid off a few years back and ended up getting something better. You never know the plan...could be a blessing in disguise! Hang in there and we'll be praying for your family.

We'll sure add your family to our prayer list. My Dad was just let go from the same company I work for last week Wednesday, so I feel your pain! Only God knows the path of our lives.

Oh boy, do we know what you're going through. Jay got word that they would not be renewing his teaching contract for the Fall just five weeks after coming home. So, this was before our adoption finalization. We were quite stressed, as well. But, we had a great social worker who said that she wasn't worried at all and was confident that he would find another job. And she was right. But he had a few months to look for a job vs. 30 days. I'll definitely be in prayer for you! I think that Satan tries to attack those who are following God's will to try to care for the most vulnerable. But, we know who is victorious!
